Warriors make nine changes for visit to Richmond

Worcester Warriors have made nine changes to their side to travel to Richmond in round three of the Champ Rugby season.

The trip down to London is the first on the road for the Warriors in the league this season, with the last visit to the Athletic Ground seeing Worcester win 41-29 back in April.

Five of the nine changes come in the forward pack, including Club Captain Matt Kvesic returning to the starting line-up at flanker.

Joining Kvesic in the back row is Owain Evans, who makes his first competitive appearance since joining the club permanently, and James Cherry, who shifts to number eight this week.

James Tyas comes into start in the second row with Tom Savage starting for a third week in a row.

Also starting again is Cam Miell at loose-head prop, with Jack Dickinson and Ashley Challenger coming in from the start to complete the five changes in the forward pack.

Moving into the backline, Billy Twelvetrees makes his first league appearance of the season at fly-half, partnering Will Lane at scrum-half.

In the centres, Tom Seabrook moves to outside centre, which allows Rory Taylor to come in to start at 12 after a try-scoring appearance off the bench last weekend.

Fellow try-scoring replacement against Rotherham Alfie Garside also comes into start on the wing joining the returning Louis Brown at full-back and Juan González on the other wing.

On the bench are starters from the opening rounds in Austin Wallis, Hallam Chapman, Tim Anstee, Will Reed and Siva Naulago.

They join scrum-half Lloyd Williams, Finn Haynes and Gloucester Rugby loanee Harry Wright, who complete the 23.
