Worcester Warriors can confirm that back-row Matt Rogerson will be retiring from rugby at the end of the 2025/26 season. Rogerson joined the Warriors from Leicester Tigers and was named Club Captain at the start of the season.

Worcester Warriors secured their place in the Elior Champ Rugby play-off final with a dramatic victory over previously unbeaten Ealing Trailfinders. The Warriors took an early lead before the hosts fought back into the game before a chaotic final two minutes saw the lead changed twice, much to the elation of the travelling Warriors fans.

Worcester Rugby Football Club, now known as Worcester Warriors, was founded in 1871 by Rev Francis John Eld and the team played its first match in November of that year against the Royal Artillery Rugby Club.
The club faced challenges early on, including disbandment in 1896 and interruptions during the World Wars.
Despite these setbacks, the club grew steadily through the 20th century, developing strong teams and acquiring grounds such as Claines, Perdiswell, and Bilford Road.
