Naulago gets hat-trick in twelve try victory

Worcester Warriors ran in twelve tries on the way to a 78-point victory over Rotherham Titans at Sixways.

Siva Naulago crossed for a first-half hat-trick which sent the Warriors well on the way to victory.

The hosts opened the scoring inside five minutes when prop Cam Miell burrowed over the try-line from close range.

Rotherham soon levelled with flanker Harry Stone finding the try-line before Naulago crossed for his first-try five minutes later, receiving the ball out wide and strolling in.

Full-back Isaac Shaw added the visitors second on the twenty minute mark after a cross-field kick from Russell Bennett.

The Warriors were undeterred by the Titans fightback and ran in four more tries before halftime.

First it was Naulago who added his second after receiving the final offload following a powerful carry from Miell.

Try number four came after a huge tackle in midfield from Naulago forced a misplaced pass from Rotherham with Jake Garside capitalising to run-in.

Naulago had his hat-trick five minutes before the break after hitting a hard-line off Will Trewin to run-in.

And it was Trewin who added the final score of the first-half after another loose pass from Rotherham hit the floor with the Warriors full-back putting in the grubber kick before reclaiming and grabbing try number six.

It was a quiet start to the second period, with the half remaining scoreless in till the 58^th minute when Tim Anstee stole a Titans line-out on their five metre line and crashed over the line.

The tries started coming thick and fast with the Warriors forward pack building more pressure, winning  a penalty which James Cherry took quick to power over.

Replacement Alfie Garside strolled in outwide for the ninth try of the afternoon after receiving the final pass from Juan González.

And fellow replacement Rory Taylor added another crashing over the line after one pass from the ruck.

Jake Garside added his second try as the game approached the final whistle, breaking from inside his own-half to run-in.

But there was still time for one final try with some champagne rugby on show from the Warriors with a break from Alfie Garside starting the move before some quick handling shipped the ball to González for the twelfth and final try of the day.
