Warriors make it six wins in a row
Sunday 14 December 2025
Worcester Warriors continued their fine run of form with a sixth consecutive victory, overcoming Richmond 31–19 at Sixways to claim another five-point win.
Three first-half tries laid the foundations before second-half scores from Jasper Spandler and James Short sealed the bonus-point victory.
It was Richmond who struck first, however, as captain Luc Jones sniped through a gap in the Warriors' defence to open the scoring.
The hosts eventually found their rhythm with scrum-half Will Lane spotting a gap in the Richmond defence before the ball was moved quickly wide for Will Reed to finish well out wide, with Tiff Eden converting.
The hosts soon added a second when flanker Tim Anstee powered through contact and showed impressive pace to cross for his fifth try of the season.
Worcester then struck again just before half-time, capitalising on sustained pressure as Roma Zheng finished well in the corner following successive tap penalties.
The bonus point was secured early in the second half when hooker Jasper Spandler ran in after taking a neat pass from Matt Kvesic.
Richmond hit back with a well-worked try from Lewis Dennett, but the Warriors maintained control.
James Short extended Worcester’s lead in impressive fashion, collecting a loose Richmond exit and sprinting clear down the wing to score the hosts’ fifth try.
Although Richmond grabbed a late score through a James Langston intercept, Worcester’s defence stood firm in the closing stages.
A crucial turnover from Thabo Ndimande in the final minutes ensured the Warriors saw out the contest and secured all five points in front of the Sixways faithful.
