Six-foot-eight Argentina international Mariano Galarza signed for Worcester Warriors in September 2013, joining up with Argentine team-mates Leonardo Senatore, Ignacio Mieres and Agustin Creevy.
The second row made his international debut against Scotland in June 2010 and the lock has gone on to represent his country at the 2011 IRB Rugby World Cup and the 2013 Rugby Championship.
Galarza, a student of medicine, was first called up to the Pumas in 2008 where he toured Europe.
In the summer of 2010, the massive Argentinian signed for Leinster but left later in the season to play for Argentine side Pampas XV, who took part in the Vodacom Cup.
Director of Rugby Dean Ryan said: "We're looking for people who want to operate here and want to lift the tempo and play at a high level.
"Mariano fits into that category and will add to our side as we build for the future."
