Dean Schofield captains the team from the second row where he is paired with Chris Jones while George Porter and James Currie are named in the front row.
New recruit Richard de Carpentier is named in the back row for his senior debut for the club after the announcement this week that he had signed a contract with Warriors. Jake Abbott also features with Blair Cowan at Number Eight.
Assistant Head Coach Nigel Redman has urged the Warriors to rediscover their attacking game after the disappointment of league defeat to Exeter Chiefs and insisted the competition is important to the club.
"This year we've started in a very positive way and people are enjoying their rugby. We've scored far more tries than we had this time last year, but we just felt some of the emphasis may have gone off our attacking game so we're using these LV= Cup games to address the balance," he said.
"The policy with selection is to give some opportunities to players who have played in the Amlin Challenge Cup and the Aviva A League. If you look at the team, it's a very experienced with some exciting young players like Ben Howard and Richard De Carpentier. They've been given the opportunity to come through and shine.
"We've also had a lot of injuries this year and we see the LV= Cup as an opportunity for players like Nikki Walker to come back and get a start so there's a mixture really.
"I'm expecting a physical battle," he added. "Scarlets are one of those teams that want to play and that will suit us because we want to do the same on the weekend.
"I felt the game we played in pre-season was pretty open and very physical at the breakdown and I expect it to be the same on Saturday."
