The Warriors went close on several occasions and Number Eight Chris Jones had a late effort ruled out by the TMO as the back row was held up by Jamie Gibson on the line.
The home side made them pay in the second period as two quick-fire tries - inside the opening ten minutes of the half - from Chris Hala'ufia and Jonathan Joseph all but settled the game.
Marcel Garvey produced an immediate response as he broke past men and grabbed another with the last move of the game as Warriors ended the try drought in emphatic fashion.
However, a long range effort from Tom Homer and late score from Adam Thompstone ensured the Exiles took a bonus point from the fixture and Worcester's long wait for an away day league victory continued.
Both teams showed plenty of early invention and desire to play before Irish opened the scoring on eight minutes when David Paice raced through a gap and home centre Steve Shingler appeared on his shoulder and, despite a brave late tackle from Garvey, stretched over the line to score.
Worcester looked to respond with a chip over from Goode just evading the on rushing Alex Grove before Errie Claassens and Marcel Garvey beautifully combined from deep and made 40 metres that saw home scrum half Allinson yellow carded for cynically pulling back the supporting Jake Abbott.
With a man advantage, Worcester continued to press with James Percival and Matt Mullan carrying strongly while turnover ball, after some powerful counter-rucking from the forwards, saw Ollie Frost kick in behind and Benjamin and Grove race up and force Homer into hurried clearance.
Warriors scored their first try of the afternoon on 14 minutes with the dynamic Claassens prominent. The full back side stepped two men to break the defensive line before floating the ball to Benjamin who raced in for his second of the season. Goode added the conversion to draw the sides level.
The home side went back ahead with two Homer penalties, but it was still Warriors who looked the more likely to cross the whitewash with Goode knocking over a kick of his own after a high up and under by Claassens was allowed to bounce and cause trouble.
Goode smashed a booming clearing kick from the restart before Claassens cut the line again with a brilliant run from deep. Warriors went through the phases with confidence until, from nowhere, they coughed up ball and allowed Irish to counter with Joseph braking tackles and winning a penalty as the home side went further ahead.
The visitors looked to strike decisively before the break with Grove flicking out the back of his hand to Claassens who then flipped a pass inside, just as he was shunted into touch, that fell into Irish hands.
Goode then looked to release men with a sublime behind the back pass to Ed Shervington before Worcester nearly scored when the former England man and Grove combined to make big yards only for Benjamin to just fail to apply the killer pass with Garvey on his wing.
The final move of the half saw Worcester come agonisingly close yet again as Jones broke tackles and raced up under the posts, only to be held up by opposing back row Jamie Gibson and the try to be ruled out by the TMO to the delight of home supporters as Warriors missed out on a slender half-time lead.
Irish started the second half in menacing fashion and kept the ball for phase after phase for several minutes as they worked their way up the field. A penalty against Neil Best saw the hosts kick to the corner before a scrum saw Chris Hala'ufia peel off the back and crash over as he broke through tackles.
The home side continued to play with real flair in the opening minutes of the half and went even further ahead when Joseph brushed off the defence and raced in under the posts for a 30-10 lead.
Worcester bounced back from the double body-blow and a well worked attack secured a penalty that Warriors kicked to the corner. A short lineout routine allowed Frost and Shervington to combine down the short side before Garvey popped up and bounced off a thundering tackle from Hala'ufia and slid in.
Back came Irish as they kept possession and went through phases for several minutes before hard working Worcester won the penalty as the Exiles were adjudged to not release when tackled. A missed touch, though, from the resulting kick saw Homer score the bonus point try as he broke past men from distance.
Hill's men continued to try and play, as he shuffled his team, but as they threatened at one end the ball was stolen away and Frost had to be alert race back and tap tackle his man on the right wing after the initial break from Shingler.
Late pressure saw the Exiles grab a fifth try as they worked play left and right before numbers freed up Thompstone to touch down. Worcester were rewarded for their endeavour right to the end when Garvey popped up in midfield and exploited a gap to blast away and touch down in the final minute.
