Worcester again had a youthful look to the line-up with a number of guest players, as they were led by prop George Porter, and they were forced to battle hard throughout against an incisive visiting outfit.
Gloucester used all that experience and cutting edge in the opening 40 minutes as they ran in six tries with wingers Ian Clark and Monahan grabbing a brace each.
Irish speedster Monahan, a summer recruit from Rotherham for Gloucester, completed his hat-trick after the interval and then grabbed a fourth score of the evening while Clarke also grabbed three.
Gloucester flew out of the traps and were ahead within two minutes as persistent pressure on the line saw Clark find a gap to dart over for the opening score.
The visitors were playing an incisive brand of attacking rugby in the first few minutes as they dominated possession and more phase play saw Clark find an overlap down the left to skip in for his second of the night.
Gloucester were relentless in the opening ten minutes and went even further clear when turnover ball allowed them to break down the right with the pace of Monahan allowing them to open up a 17-0 lead.
Monahan grabbed his second on the night two minutes later when a big hit from Hazel saw them turn over ball and again they broke with pace and incision down the right.
Tom Carlisle looked to get Worcester on the front foot as he made a break in midfield while the energetic Ollie Frost injected some pace at the base of the scrum to feed Number Eight Dan Young into space
Max Stelling then rolled out of tackles to win another penalty as Gloucester were caught offside. Sam Herrington than crashed into contact to punch the visitors back before Josh Watkins just failed to take the inside ball from Stelling.
Gloucester were exerting all their power at scrum time and after a series of penalties successfully drove a lineout over with Hazel touching down. Former Pirates man Rob Cook took over the kicking duties for a 29-0 lead.
The relentless Gloucester pressure continued as Drew Locke touched down after more slick handling for a 34-0 half-time lead.
Cavaliers continued to show real determination and perseverance with Joe Nellany and Ed Telwright elusive from deep while the forwards tackled themselves to a standstill.
Speedster Monahan completed his treble after the interval as Gloucester worked an overlap before he was driven over for his fourth of the night before the hour mark.
Ryan Furniss and Antioni Harris combined brilliantly down the left as Cavaliers continued to show real endeavour in adversity. But more turnover ball hurt the hosts as Gloucester broke down the right and sent Martyn Thomas into space.
Clark completed his hat-trick in the dying minutes as Gloucester continued to turn the screw with captain Buxton and Rob Langley going over to complete the scoring.
