A smoking ban has been in place over the last couple of years in the East and North Stand, and following feedback from supporters, it has been decided that that ban will now be extended to all viewing areas and bar facilities within the rugby stadium.

Supporters who still wish to smoke at games will be allowed to do so in designated areas away from supporters' viewing.

Commenting on the announcement Worcester Warriors Chairman, Mr Cecil Duckworth said: "I hope all our supporters who smoke will accept that there is always a fire and health risk associated with people smoking and, in addition, Legislation coming into force in June 2007 will prohibit smoking in the workplace.

"However, I am hopeful that the quality of our rugby will be so exciting that smokers will still enjoy our games despite not being able to smoke in the stands and bars," Mr Duckworth concluded.
