Electric wing Marcel Garvey has provided a real cutting edge to the Warriors since making his move to Sixways.

Garvey started his career at Gloucester, where he made a staggering start to senior rugby with hat-trick of tries against Bristol.

He later moved up the M5 in search of a new start and has impressed the coaching staff at Warriors with his new found hunger this campaign.

The wing has represented England A and England Under-21, being an integral part of the side that won the Under-21 World Cup team in 2004.

The speedster has also been a member of the England Sevens set-up where his raw pace and finishing skills make him a dangerous opponent.

Garvey signed a new two-year deal in the January of 2010 to commit his future to Warriors until 2012 and is determined to fire Warriors back into the English elite.

“I’m really pleased to commit my future to Warriors,” said Garvey, who made 17 appearances in 2009/10.

“I feel settled here at Worcester and have really enjoyed my time at Sixways where my all-round game has really developed in the last few seasons under the coaching staff.

“I’m now looking ahead to the coming years as the Warriors look to build on the real belief and talent we have within the squad.”
