Scrum half sensation Jonny Arr became the established starting No.9 at Worcester Warriors during the 2009/10 campaign as the home-grown ace continued his eye-catching development at Sixways.

A former Royal Grammar School student in the city, Arr made his first team full debut in the Guinness Premiership in 2008 having initially started his rugby at Worcester in the club’s successful mini/junior set-up.

Arr has won international honours and was a part of the England Under-20 team that achieved the Grand Slam in the Six Nations of 2008.

Worcester born and bred, the young scrum half signed a new two-year deal in March 2010 to commit his future to Warriors until 2012.

Arr was rewarded for his outstanding form in 2009/10 when he picked up the Young Player of the Year and Most Improved Player of the Year awards at the club's end of season dinner in May 2010.

"I’m pleased to have committed my future to Warriors and look forward to continuing my development under the guidance of the coaching team here,” said Arr.

"I have been connected to the club for over a decade, since my involvement with the mini/juniors. It has always been my dream to play for the first team and that has now become a reality, I have enjoyed every second of action playing for Warriors.

"My game has developed with the support of the coaching team and also the new style the club is looking to play. I hope I can now be a big part of a successful future here at Sixways Stadium.”
