England Saxons winger Miles Benjamin is regarded as one of the deadliest and brightest young stars in English rugby after developing his skills at Worcester Warriors.

The Solihull speedster, a product of the thriving Academy section at Warriors, first burst onto the senior picture in 2007/08 as he enjoyed a glittering debut season.

Benjamin - England Under-19 team in the IRB Under-19 World Championships in April 2007 - scored a try on his first senior start against London Irish in the EDF Energy Cup and his first Guinness Premiership try against Newcastle Falcons just a few weeks later.

The wing finished his first full season as the club’s leading try-scorer with 15 in 27 games and fourth in the Guinness Premiership charts with nine.

Benjamin's incredible progress was underlined at the end of the 2007/08 season when he jointly picked up the Young Player of the Year prize at the end of season awards.

The wing wonder continued his development in the summer of 2008 when he was part of the IRB Junior World Championships. Benjamin scored four tries to finish as England’s top scorer in the tournament.

During the 2008/09 season, Benjamin's progress was disrupted after suffering a broken leg in the European Challenge Cup clash with Bourgoin. However, he returned to action in style and scored a memorable effort against the French side when he returned to the Stade Pierre Rajon in the European semi-final.

Benjamin, who signed a two-year contract in November 2009 to remain at the club until 2012, recorded six tries in 21 games during the 2009/10 campaign and made his England Saxons debut coming off the bench to face Ireland in January 2010.

“I truly see Worcester Warriors as my club, after coming through the ranks and becoming part of the culture here,” said Benjamin.

“I’m playing alongside players that I’ve got to know very well and I’m in an environment where I feel comfortable and can develop my game further. We’re all pulling towards the same goal and I’m looking forward to a really successful future with Warriors.”
