Fiji international Netani Talei has made a big impact at Worcester Warriors since signing for the club after the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

The giant back row, who has won nine caps for his country, was rewarded for an eye-catching first season for the club with a two-year contract extension until 2010.

The powerful loose forward, who can play flanker or number eight and signed from Doncaster Knights, scored a try on his first team debut in the EDF Energy Cup against Harlequins and also on his home debut against Montauban in the European Challenge Cup.

Talei also impressed in the 2008/09 season and scored a stunning solo try against Gloucester as Warriors completed a first ever league victory at Kingsholm.

A strong ball carrier renowned for making breaks against the opposition defensive line, Talei made his comeback from shoulder surgery in 2009/10 to make 11 appearances.

Warriors announced in June 2010 that Talei was to join Edinburgh on a three-year deal, after making 55 appearances for the Sixways club.
