Tongan international hooker Aleki Lutui - a former police officer - has been laying down the law at Sixways Stadium since his arrival at Warriors and has been a talismanic figure for both club and country.

Renowned for his explosive running and fierce scrumming, Lutui, who joined Wcester in 2006, has become a cult figure for Worcester fans.

Named in the Tonga squad for the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France, Lutui has captained his country on several occasions.

Lutui signed a new two-year deal at Warriors in December 2009 to keep him at Sixways until at least 2012, with the exclusive option of a third year.

Hugely respected in the game, Lutui made 28 appearances during the 2009/10 campaign and was awarded the Player of the Year award.

“I am very pleased to agree a new contract. I am happy here and really enjoy my rugby here in Worcester,” said Lutui.

“My family is settled in Worcester, which is very important to me, I have good friends at the club and all I want to do now it to help get the team become even better.”
