Front row rising star Callum Black burst onto the first team scene in the closing months of the 2008/09 season and has continued to make an impressive impact at Worcester Warriors.

Black, a product of the Warriors Academy system, made a total of 15 senior appearances during his breakthrough season and was rewarded for his progress when he agreed a new two-year deal to remain at Sixways until 2011.

Black was a pupil at Colston’s School in Bristol before he was recruited to Hartpury College by current Warriors Academy Manager Andrew Stanley.

Born in Maryland in the USA, the young prop has represented Ireland at Under 18s, 19s and 21s.

Black, who has also experienced loan spells at Otley and Plymouth to learn his front row trade, made 15 appearances during the 2009/10 season and scored his first senior try against Harlequins in October 2009.
