Clarke acknowledged it will be a strange experience for him as he is set to come up against a former club for the first time in his career.
But the former England Saxons man insists he is not focussed on himself and instead is only concerned with a Worcester win in what he concedes is a massive fixture for Warriors.
"We suffered a big disappointment here against Saracens in the LV=Cup last time out and we are desperate to make up for it," he said.
"Northampton will come here after losing in their own backyard so both teams will be angry - it will be some battle.
"Both teams want to move up and we have got to be up for it, our mind set has got to be to get ready for a battle. They need the win and so do we.
"It will be an emotional day for me against my old club," he added. "It will be a weird week in many ways and it is not something I am used to, the first time ever for me.
"It's a massive game for the club and where we want to be. We have got to make up for the disappointment last week and my personal game against my old club is put to one side. It's not about me; it's about being a Warrior and being a part of our game plan to get a win.
"We're not desperate but there is frustration and a win would be massive for us and massive for the club. We want to keep building and what better way than at Sixways this weekend."
