The festival saw some of the best rugby played all season with the crunch match being played between Burlish Park and Elmley Castle. Elmley won 5-4 and will now represent Warriors at the Aviva Premiership final at Twickenham on Saturday, May 26. Congratulations to Elmley Castle, Burlish Park, Pinvin and Belbroughton for getting to the final four.
Warriors have this season been into 52 schools from across Worcestershire and South Warwickshire delivering the Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools programme to over 1,600 children during over 260 hours of coaching.
In its second season, the Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools Programme represents a significant investment (£2 million) by Aviva into the grass roots level of the game. Resources will go towards supporting over 1,200 teachers in 650 schools across the country whilst also providing all the kit necessary to play tag rugby. Aligned to the national curriculum and PE syllabus and designed to unearth the next generation of rugby stars, the number of children who will have taken part in the scheme by the end of this season is enough to fill Twickenham.
