The 27-year-old only took up the game three years ago, after spending four seasons playing for the LA Lakers in the NBA, before bulking up and turning to rugby with the Arizona Scrum-bags.
Head Coach Richard Hill revealed the club was looking to agree a deal before 12 noon today - the deadline for registrations - so Poll could potentially feature against Nottingham this Saturday.
"Fario is a huge, huge man and it will take 10 opposition players to stop him - the RFU Championship won't know what hit it," said Hill. "We have seen plenty of footage of him on youtube and when we decide what position suits him best he could be a fantastic signing for us."
