Bristol staged a late rally against Rotherham Titans, but were edged out by a point and so will be Worcester's first opponents in Pool A.
"I would much prefer to go to Bristol than Rotherham and play in their pitch as I expect Rotherham's will be muddy," admitted Hill.
"The Memorial Stadium will have a good pitch with a great atmosphere. That is what you want in the play-offs, full houses, good crowds and the chance to play against good teams.
"Bristol have always been my dark horses to get through into the play-offs so it will be a cracking opening game and we will have to be exactly right for that."
