'This development comes from a successful first year of operations of the PFS programme at the Warriors Study Centre with the impact of the Warriors brand, facilities and staff being hugely successful,' commented Tom Ryder, Warriors Community Manager.
The Warriors Education programme will focus on the delivery of schemes of work based around;
• Literacy and Numeracy
• Communication Skills
There will be scope within the programme to meet the needs of the region and societal issues which may be affecting us at any time, such as the Olympics or Environmental issues.
Tom Ryder added 'the Warriors have a reputation as strong ambassadors for the region and we feel by launching plans for an education programme other partners not traditionally involved in the club will see the value of utilising the influential nature of high profile sport on areas such as health, educational attainment and non traditional forms of learning.'
The appointment of a Warriors Education officer will be made in the coming weeks but to discuss the opportunities to work with the Warriors proposed education schemes of work please contact Tom Ryder on firstname.lastname@example.org
