Stan admitted his players had missed an opportunity to claim a victory that would have kept the pressure on Northern Conference leaders Northampton Wanderers with several wasted chances.
"We had a strong side out for the game but failed to take the opportunity to put some pressure on Northampton," he said.
"It leaves us looking to consolidate our bid for the runners-up spot in the A League and we are confident We can do that.
"The players were all very disappointed afterwards and we have to make sure that some of the rugby we played in the middle of each half is maintained for longer periods.
"Now we look forward to the away game next week at Leeds and putting right that performance."
Stan also paid tribute to the supporters who braved the cold conditions on the night with a bumper crowd of 1,700 at the game.
"The support was absolutely fantastic and they are a real credit to the club," he said.
"It really does mean so much to the players that they come out to support us and I know every player is determined to repay that backing when we face Sale in out next home game on Monday, February 25."
