Hill ordered his team to take defeat on the chin after the game and has now called on them to produce when they face Midland neighbours Nottingham in a week's time.
"Everyone is in this together - the coaches take responsibility as do the players for such a poor performance," he said.
"We have to act properly. We have lost a game and it is very disappointing, we have got to take it on the chin. The players didn't like it; they won't be happy and quite rightly so.
"We have got to accept that you can't just go and beat everyone when you don't perform. This is a tough league and the Cornish Pirates are a good side.
"We were beaten by a side that played better than us on the night - we have to accept that. Now we have to make sure we get angry enough next week for Nottingham.
"I will have a careful look at selection because there were clearly some performances that weren't good enough. I will have to look at the whole lot and make a decision," he added.
"I stated that I would keep a steady side if players earned the jersey and kept playing well. If there was a lack of form there would be changes if I felt that was the case.
"At the moment I can't blame anybody in particular, it is a collective responsibility for that performance and we will sort it out for next week."
