Wing Chris Pennell blasted over for an early score and Warriors never looked back as they secured a 19-9 win with an impressive home show.
"We played exceptionally well in the first 30 minutes, played some great rugby and we need to build on that," said McGinty.
"Every win is a good. Since we have finished the Guinness Premiership we've tried to rest people and last week was the first time we came back together as a team and we were disappointed.
"We were very ring rusty and it's always difficult when you break up a bit of momentum. But I was pleased to get the result today.
"I thought Greg King did very well, he ran a great line for us to score our first try as he pulled defenders in.
"You get a win and you gain some confidence as we aim towards next week's game, we have been for the last few weeks.
"Hopefully, after today, we will feel more confident about ourselves and take it forward. But there is still more to work on and we never stop working.
"Tony Windo will be very happy with the set piece today," added McGinty. "The lineout functioned well and the scrum was solid as we expect.
"I also thought the referee had a good game, a lot of the decisions were a true reflection of what was happening.
"A lot of referees wouldn't have given a penalty when the ball is thrown away, the same for backchat. They just leave it so I thought he was good and gained the respect of the players."
Warriors now travel to Wembley Stadium next Saturday in the Guinness Premiership and McGinty is confident the team will travel in confident mood.
He said: "We've got quite a good record against Saracens so hopefully we can go down there and build on what we have done today.
"It is a great opportunity for us to go down and play at Wembley. Not too many people get that chance and we will look to take it and get a good win and performance."
