Mike Ruddock has revealed that centre sensation Sam Tuitupou will miss the LV= Cup fixture with London Irish after returning home - but the Pocket Rocket will land back in the UK in time for the big return to league action next weekend.

Ruddock - who is set to name Greg King in the line-up in place of the New Zealand star - has also denied speculation that Tuitupou has signed a new contract at Warriors, but remains optimistic a deal can be done on his return.

"The only one who is missing this weekend is Sam (Tuitupou) who I have given permission to go back to New Zealand for a family matter," said Ruddock.

"He will return on Monday and will be available for the Saracens game next week.

"Sam hasn't signed a new deal, but it has been agreed and we're hoping that when he comes back that will happen. I am optimistic that will be the case.

"We've been working behind the scenes for a number of months really with Sam. He is enjoying playing for Warriors, is very happy here and hopefully that will continue over the longer term."
