The club has supported the Coventry-born back throughout his rehabilitation and went one better as players and officials hosted a special musical event to continue to show their backing for Collins.
The Soul Night also saw 1st XV Skills Development Coach and Warriors Academy Assistant Manager Gary Meechan return to his musical roots. Meechan was part of the Original Soul Survivors that was formed in January 1986 and famously played over 300 shows in the first 12 months.
"Earl was presented a cheque, by Cecil Duckworth, last week in front of all the players, which I deemed very fitting," said Meechan. "What came from an informal chat with Rassy, Milo and CG, turned into a great social night, and all the proceeds go to one of ours!
"I would say that it has been a job well done by all involved and the money will go a long way to helping the Collins family. Earl is still determined to come back and play for Warriors... that will be his thank you."
