It is the first time the annual Santathon has been held at the venue and the charity hopes it will mean more people than ever before will put on a red Santa suit and help to raise money for the cause.
Lauren Billington, fund-raising director at Leukaemia CARE, said: "We are really pleased to be working with Worcester Warriors and we think we can make an even better event this year. In previous years we've had 500 people but we're hoping for maybe 750 to 1,000 entrants this time.
"It's really important that we get people to get sponsorship, which will be used to support people with blood cancer. Anyone can do it. It is a fun run so entrants can run, walk, stroll or even crawl, if they want to.
With the added draw of a buffet lunch, live music and stalls for people to buy a few special gifts for Christmas the charity could very well achieve such a high number.
Kathy Leather, Commercial Director at Sixways, said: "I cannot wait to see 1,000 Santas of all shapes and sizes here at Sixways. I'm sure there will be some players and their wives joining in and getting behind this event."
The event is being held to raise money for the charity, which provides support and a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year helpline for those suffering from blood cancer.
To enter the run and get a Santa suit costs £10 for adults and £5 for children. The buffet, run and suit costs £20 for adults and £10 for children. The buffet on its own is £10 for adults and £5 for children. However, these entry fees are to cover costs, not to raise money.
