The programme is delivered to both boys and girls with an estimated 8,000 school children expected to be involved nationwide.
Utilising rugby's unique ethos and the assets of the sport's leading brands and players it looks to:
• Improve young people's understanding of what constitutes healthy eating and a healthy diet
• Increase young people's knowledge of food safety
• Increase young people's uptake of physical activity
• Provide sustainability through teacher training and provision of equipment
Dave Rogers, Warriors Education Programme co-ordinator, has been visiting local schools and this week was joined by back row star Best at Perry Wood Primary and Nursery School in Worcester and centre Crockett at Great Malvern Primary School.
The duo talked to children about healthy eating in professional sportsmen before taking part in Question and Answer sessions.
