Pre-season training is underway at Worcester Warriors as the squad return to Sixways and gear up for the new 2009/10 Guinness Premiership campaign.
To give supporters a special insight into life 'Inside the Warrior Camp' we will be running a series of special training blogs from different players as the big countdown continues.
Today we hear from prop Matt Mullan....
"We had a great afternoon last Friday at Old Vicarage Adventure Centre near Kidderminster. My mini team along with Sammy T, Dave Lyons and Ryan Powell easily won our raft building and racing challenge - Sammy put his body on the line as usual managing to loose a tooth in the process!! We managed to show where the real brains of the club are, though, beating both staff teams comfortably!
This week we have been continuing our speed work with our specialist speed coaches - everyone looks to have improved their speed apart... from Kai Horstmann who is still as slow as usual!!
Good to see Kitch return to training today after playing for England Under 20s. Ahead we have a few important weeks as our training emphasis shifts from physical development to rugby specific skills and team patterns.
Everyone is excited about this Friday where we have been split into teams of three for a specially organised Tri-athalon - we all wait to see if Matt Jones comes out the lake alive!"
Warrior Stuart Brooks will represent the club at Twickenham next weekend as he battles for the honour of carrying the coveted Aviva Premiership Rugby trophy onto the pitch ahead of the final between Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints.
There has been a flurry of activity taking place at Sixways off-the-field over the last two weeks as the stadium pitch has undergone major renovation in preparation for the 2013/2014 Aviva Premiership campaign.
