The Warriors Community Foundation works in partnership with charities that share the same focus - to improve the lives of young people. The Warriors charity partner for the 2011/2012 season is Acorns Children's Hospice across the three counties.
The Warriors Community Foundation has committed to support Acorns through the following channels:
In addition, the Warriors Foundation and Acorns will work on campaigns that offer mutual benefit such as joint fundraising initiatives. Last season our Players gave 19 weeks of time to the local community and a regular visit to the children at Acorns is an integral part of the working week.
David Strudley, Chief Executive of Acorns Children's Hospice, said: "Worcester Warriors are a major supporter of Acorns and have been hugely supportive of the charity and its work over the years. Our presence on the training kit worn by the players and coaching staff is a wonderful gift that will not only put us directly in front of a huge audience but also raise vital funds. On behalf of the children of Acorns and their families, we would like to thank Worcester Warriors for all it has done and continues to do for us and wish them every good fortune this new season."
