Worcester Ladies

Worcester RFC has a thriving Ladies Section with two senior teams and two youth teams (Under 15s and Under 18s) offering rugby for all ages and standards from novices to internationals.

Since the Ladies 1st XV was established in 1993, the 1st XV has gone from strength to strength and were crowned Premiership champions for the first time in their 20-year history in the 2012/13 season.

The 1st XV are coached by ex-international Donna Kennedy, capped 115 times for Scotland, assisted by Steve Watkins, Jason Allen, with Kat Merchant as Backs Coach and are managed by Dave Guest.

The 2nd XV coaching team is led by Josh Phillips with support from ex-Worcester prop Kelly Phasey.

Worcester has a long history of international success, with five players representing their respective countries at the 2010 Rugby World Cup and three players in the England squad for the 2013 Sevens Rugby World Cup. Seven Worcester players were named for their respective countries at the 2014 Rugby World Cup.

New players are invited to come down to training to see for themselves what the Ladies Section are all about. Novices or experienced players, those wanting serious rugby or those keen to enjoy the social side of the game are all welcome. The Ladies train at 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the U15s and U18s from 7pm on Wednesday evenings on the Weston's pitches.
