The pitch has been covered since last Friday to protect it from the weather conditions and a heated dome has been inflated over the playing surface since Tuesday and will remain on until match day.

Brian Ryan, Head of Operations at Warriors, said: "We have been closely monitoring the weather conditions for the past two weeks and have fully anticipated the weather conditions we have and will be experiencing.

"We have taken a lot of calls from supporters regarding the game and our message to them is that the game remains on as scheduled.

"We have put everything in place for the next few days to ensure this happens and also have a team in place to help clear forecasted snowfall in the latter part of the week."
