Sam Tuitupou is set to miss the Amlin Challenge Cup clash with Connacht Rugby
Tuitupou set to miss European action

Boss Mike Ruddock has revealed that flu-victim Sam Tuitupou is set to miss the Amlin Challenge Cup clash with Connacht Rugby - but fly half ace Matthew Jones could force his way into a Sixways return this Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
The Pocket Rocket has been away from the club with illness this week and Director of Rugby Ruddock is set to rule him out of the European encounter and pair Alex Grove and Dale Rasmussen in midfield.

But better news surrounds kicking king Jones who, after impressing with 14 points for Warriors A against Newcastle Falcons earlier this week, is pushing for a place on the bench.

"We have some bad news and good news this week," admitted Ruddock.

"I won't consider Sammy Tuitupou this week as he has got the flu and so won't make the game.

"But Matthew Jones will be considered and there is a chance he could sneak in on the bench after playing in our A team up at Newcastle.

"Matthew has been out quite a long time and has a couple of setbacks with a recurring broken bone in his foot.

"It's great to see him back, he has trained really well all week and at the moment I am thinking about getting him involved.

"It's good to have him back excited and chirping in, as he always does. He is a popular lad in the squad, a very talented rugby player and I just hope he has a bit more luck.

"Let's see him put a run of games together and rediscover the form that I believe he is capable of delivering."
